Because our educational systems have almost nothing in place to identify and address BPD, the people who have it rarely get the services they need. Leaving teachers who don't have the training, time, or resources to help people with BPD often increases the truma for everyone involved. Helping people with BPD is often a time and labor-intensive process that requires the most skilled counsellors, so people who have BPD need expert intervention.
