I don't normally read Glamour, but this article popped up in my feed.
https://www.glamour.com/story/why-did-young-men-vote-for-donald-trump
It says something similar to what your article is saying, which is that a lot of guys do support more Democratic policies such as keeping abortion legal -- but not enough to not vote for Trump, whom they identified with more. Maybe it's kind of the Coke vs. Pepsi issue, where consumers prefer Pepsi more in blind taste tests, but prefer to buy Coke because they identify more as Coke drinkers. Or maybe some of these younger guys enough to get off the couch and vote.
In any case, their poor choices are likely to bite them in the butt. They think it's hard to get dates or get any action now? Just wait until women realize that now they will be required to carry any unwanted pregnancies to term, and that any pregnancy is going to be at risk to their long-term health and even their lives now that pregnant women don't have access to routine medical care. The question of "is he spongeworthy?" is going to turn into "is this guy worth risking my life for?"
F around and find out, my young male friends. Or, in your case, invest in more lotion or whatever because that won't be happening for you.
