LOL. Years ago, I was actually on a cross-country ski trip with people from my hiking club. There was a fissure in the snow that looked blue. I said it was a really cool shade of blue. Two of the guys started arguing about whether the blue color was caused by total internal refraction within the crack or by the structural properties of the snow -- or something. I kept skiing.
