My son did not however shoot anyone. Not as a teen or as an adult. He never accessed a gun and probably never will. Not legally anyway. He has had frequent police interactions at one point finding himself in jail for a few months. Currently, he has a ten-year firearms ban and I suspect that even when that decade is completed he may still not qualify due to mental health concerns. In Canada, there is an application process as well as a course that has to be passed to legally purchase a gun.
