What's PROVEN to make more women unhappy is marriage to a man. Married women are less happy than single women. Married men are happier and healthier than single men, but hey, I'd be happier too if someone did all or most of my shopping, cooking, laundry, cleaning, and other household work for me.

What makes women happier is independence -- having our own space and yes, our own job. That way, we don't have to stake our welfare or our futures to fickle, feckless, and potentially abusive men.
